Technical Systems Audit for Ster-Kinekor

Ster-Kinekor is a full audio visual entertainment provider covering a range of film, video and game distribution and presentation areas. Ster-Kinekor required a systems audit to identify problem areas and obtain a view of their IT systems environment, in order to prepare a valid strategy for system rationalisation and stabilisation.

The Ster-Kinekor information system environment consists of a large SAP implementation and a collection of custom developed solutions, mainly on the Microsoft .Net platform.

The audit balanced business, technical and process concerns over the short and long term, and was split into the following four sections: a high level overview of the various systems comprising the operational architecture, problem areas identified by the business, IT staff and Entelect auditors, recommendations containing possible resolutions for the current problem areas and, finally, next steps to provide a roadmap showing how to proceed.
